Professor Gary Anderson PHD - Chair
Pharmacology, University of Melbourne
Professor Gary Anderson is a leading medical researcher from University of Melbourne. He works on COPD (emphysema), very severe asthma and lung cancer as well as how these conditions can cause bone loss, muscle wasting and heart disease. He is widely published and has contributed to the discovery of a number of medicines.
Karen Webster - Vice Chair
Associate Professor and Program Director of Fashion, RMIT
Karen has been actively engaged as a senior manager in fashion education since 1992. From 2005
to 2010 through an industry secondment from her University position at RMIT, Karen performed the role of Director of the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Karen is regarded as an expert in cultural trends within the fashion industry. During her tenure at RMIT University, Karen was the Australian representative for Paris based group Studio Edelkoort.
Karen has held several high profile Board positions aligned to the Australian fashion and creative industries within the not for profit and Government sectors She currently is a Board Director on Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and BalletLab. Karen worked as a fashion designer for over ten
years in London, Melbourne and Sydney prior to working in academia. She still currently works as a consultant within the fashion industry. Karen Webster returned to the role of Program Director of Fashion at RMIT University in June 2010.
Andrew Neilson - Treasurer

Andrew is a chartered accountant with nearly 25 years experience in providing accounting, taxation, audit and business services. Building upon his 20+ year career with a leading global professional services firm, Andrew now runs his own practice, specialising in providing accounting and financial advice to emerging businesses. Andrew is active in the not-for-profit sector and sits on the board of a number of educational and arts bodies. Andrew has been the Treasurer of BalletLab since joining the board in 2006.
Andrew Chalet - Secretary

Andrew is a Corporate and Commercial Partner at TressCox with over 20 years of experience. He specialises in Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment, Information Technology, Communications, Trademarks and Life Sciences. In the media and entertainment space he has represented a large range of clients including the Melbourne Recital Centre, Victorian Arts Centre Trust, International Management Group, Women's Golf Australia, Lonely Planet and Garry Van Egmond (Concert Promoter). Before moving to Australia in 1992, Andrew worked for prominent English entertainment firm where his claim to fame was working on the production financing for Terminator. Unfortunately, Andrew's impersonations of Arnold Schwarzenegger are terrible.
Jeff Busby - Board Member

Jeff Busby has been a Melbourne based commercial photographer for 30 years. His clients include major corporate organizations, publishers, advertising agencies and graphic designers. Throughout his career he has been a leading practitioner of performance photography and has worked with many of Australia's finest dance choreographers, opera, theatre and musical directors, opera singers, dancers and actors.

private clients and organisations around the world, notably Steven Klein & Madonna for Louis Vuitton, Six Scents, The Australian Ballet, Seven New York, Toni Maticevski & Materialbyproduct. 3 Deep's clients are discerning and appreciate emotionally and intellectually driven design. The practice believes in delivering memorable and considered experiences that are underpinned by a commitment to ideas, design and luxury.
Over the past 15 years Brett has been recognised with over 60 national and international awards of excellence. Having been published in more than 150 journals and publications, Brett has also sat on the state and national councils of the Australian Graphic Design Association, the advisory board of the
Helen Lempriere National Sculpture Award and has previously chaired the board of Balletlab. Brett is a passionate champion for Australian Design and has presented lectures in New York, London and Paris.
Tamara Jungwirth - Board Member
General Manager - Gasworks Arts Park
Tamara Jungwirth is CEO of Gasworks Arts Park, a multi-arts community hub in Albert Park Melbourne, which includes theatres, gallery spaces, artist studios, workshop spaces, a park, cafe and community markets. Tamara was the Commercial Manager at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image at Federation Square during 2006-2010. Her team of 30 staff managed the café, the museum shop, private catering, publishing, e-commerce, merchandise development, wholesaling, 12 international film festivals and 180 cultural events annually.
From 1997 to 2006, Tamara worked on the construction, opening and operation of Melbourne Museum's commercial facilities including the IMAX Theatre, the Royal Exhibition Building, seven food and beverage outlets, a 900 bay underground car park and a multi-million dollar catering services agreement. She also managed key IT projects such as the installation of visitor ticketing and event space booking systems. As the Director of Melbourne Queer Film Festival from 1994 to 1997, Tamara doubled ticket sales and curated a national tour to five other Australian capital cities. An award-winning documentary film director, Tamara Jungwirth's works have shown across Europe, Australia, USA, Canada and South America. Tamara has post-graduate qualifications in Arts Management and Accounting and sits on the board of BalletLab and the Advisory Board of Arts Management at Deakin University.
Patrizia Torelli - Board Member

Patrizia is a graduate Fellow of the Leadership Victoria, Williamson Community Leadership Program (2008). Patrizia is an expert in the provision of visionary leadership, strategic insight, competitive analysis and strategic planning during challenging periods. A specialist in Diversity in Sport,
her national and international track record for increasing membership and participation through
research, development and implementation of programs to attract new target markets is well documented. Patrizia's recent role at Cricket Australia resulted in Australian Sports Awards Nominations and international acclaim and recognition of Participation Programs; including development and implementation of 'CricKids Australia's Biggest Cricket Game implementation of the 'CricKids Playing in Harmony' curriculum based learning program funded by Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). Patrizia has held several board positions including Director, Football Federation Victoria; Chair
of OnSide Victoria and most recently Bowls Australia. Patrizia joined our board in September, 2009 and was Chair in 2010.
