Dance Speaks

18/06/13

Phillip Adams and Shelley Lasica will be guest speakers at the inaugural Dance Speaks, on 24th June at Loop, 23 Meyers Place, Melbourne CBD.

Dance Speaks is a monthly meet-up for dance artists in Melbourne,

The evening invites you in to share, question and create critical knowledge, research, methodologies; histories and futures of our dance. Each session will have a different focus.

At the first Dance Speaks, Phillip Adams and Shelley Lasica will present a selected account of their work and their 'non-dance' influences. Each artist will speak for one hour, with time for questions at the end.

Phillip Adams will show footage and discuss about Grey Area, a piece made with Becky Hilton, Lucy Guerin, Ros Warby in 1997. He will also talk about other early works like Endling

Worth coming down to catch that!

We love Leah Landau for organising this event and setting up a new forum for artists visibility, sharing and critical discussion.
