PRESSURE

Synopsis

A commission of a 20-minute response by Phillip Adams to the Derwent River Heavy Metal project (pollutants). Adams performed with eight local dancers in collaboration with Architect Matthew Bird (Studiobird) at MONA Market to mark the closing of the markets.

This performance response followed an originally developed water-based response that did not eventuate due to weather conditions.

Orignial concept: 16 performers will walk from MONA Market lawns to Oyster Pontoon and collect individual inflatable pools. Participants will enter the water with inflatable pools and form an installation through choreographed movement in the Berridale Bay precinct.
